My name is Kevin Ord. I started photographing weddings over 20 years ago. By adding motion to formal shots and using creative posing my images add emphasis to the energy and enthusiasm that the bridal party had on the wedding day. In addition to using a contemporary style for formals I also use photojournalism to capture the wedding day as it actually occurs.

I visit my clients wedding site prior to each wedding to familarize myself with the lighting and to pick out potential locations for formals. Here in the Pacific Northwest the real trick is to deal with the rain. I've developed methods that allow me to shoot outdoors even if it is raining. I don't need to have the warm balmy weather conditions that Los Angeles and Texan photographers benefit from to make excellent outdoor images in the dead of winter. Of course if its dark outside...!
